Stadthalle Balingen 18. Juni bis 4. September 1994 by Doschka, Roland (Hrsg.) [in German]
Joan Miró was a Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramicist born in Barcelona. Earning international acclaim, his work has been interpreted as Surrealism but is difficult to classify. He was notable for his interest in the unconscious or the subconscious mind, reflected in his re-creation of the childlike.
This catalogue [in German] explores Miró’s works from the Maeght Foundation that were part of an exhibit at Stadthalle Balingen in 1994.
The Marguerite and Aimé Maeght Foundation was created in 1964 in close collaboration with the architect Josep Luis Sert and the major artists of this period: Georges Braque, Marc Chagall, Pierre Bonnard, Joan Miró
