Kyoohoo Japanese Kokeshi Doll Otomesode (Girly sleeves) wears ‘Furisode’ that Japanese unmarried women wear on traditional occasions. The head ribbon and tilted face bring out its loveliness.

Kokeshi Dolls are important dolls in Japan which are made from wood. Their origin was in the Edo era (1603A.D. - 1867A.D.) as souvenirs for visitors to hotsprings (onsen). Since then kokeshi crafters’ skills was so developed that kokeshis became toys and ornamental dolls.
